Technology and social media have become such an integral part of our society, some people question if it is possible to live without it. What if you could block it out? Would you? And would that solve society’s issues regarding peer pressure, body image and cyber bullying? Worse still, what if you were the one who was blocked? To unpack this topic, we’ve taken to the classroom to chat to students from different demographics across Australia. BLOCKED carefully intertwines these stories with examples from popular culture to present an honest and raw look at the real struggles and successes of young Australian’s in this tricky, tech-driven climate we now live in.

BLOCKED discusses a world that every student can relate to – social media and the pressure to fit in. Like a Netflix show, BLOCKED is a compelling mix of intrigue, thrills and mystery that leaves the audience no choice but to participate in and unpack the narrative. They won’t want to miss one second!

It shows students the ramifications of their actions, in a way they can relate to and without patronising. We see characters who are dealing with the same issues your students deal with, allowing safe conversations to open up in the classroom and amongst their peers.
