Adapted by Shake & Stir for the Regional & Remote Schools Touring program.

My Two Blankets is an engaging and heartwarming show designed for young children, inspired by the beloved picture book.

Based on Irena Kobald’s award-winning picture book, the show follows Cartwheel, a young girl adjusting to life in a new country. Through playful storytelling, movement, and dance, it explores themes of friendship, cultural diversity, and belonging. Perfect for early learners, My Two Blankets encourages empathy, understanding, and acceptance, celebrating the joy of discovering new things while cherishing home and the familiar.

My Two Blankets has been developed with UniSQ School of Arts, 2nd year acting students 2024 and the Yezidi community at Harristown State School.
