Ash & Amber

By Kimaya Charlton, assisted by Tibian Wyles. Commissioned and created by Shake & Stir

When Amber is accepted into boarding school in the big-smoke, she’s anxious about leaving her cousin, Ash, behind. Not one to be left in the dust, Ash has other plans.

Determined to remain close to her cuz, Ash hatches a wild scheme. One so wild, it just might work - to swap their bodies. Enter Uncle Choomoo, a cheeky, slightly unprepared figure, smoked by an air of mystery and intrigue.

Choomoo guides the duo on a heartfelt journey of self-discovery and transformation, showing the pair that strength, friendship and love depends not on physical proximity, but lives within themselves. Along the way, the duo learn the true meaning of respect, self-determination, and care for country.

(Choomoo is word for smoke in Yagarabul language)
