Primary Classes
Since 2006, Shake & Stir drama classes have been a fantastic extra-curricular activity proven to strengthen your child’s performance and communication skills, raise their self-confidence and increase their level of physical activity.
We believe that students learn in many different ways, and through acting students can gain invaluable real life skills such as listening, flexibility, resilience, kinaesthetic learning, teamwork, confidence & friendship building – all which apply in school and last well into adulthood.
Planned by the company’s Artistic Directors (and a team of education consultants), Shake & Stir classes are structured on a term-by-term basis, which consist of different theatre modules studied over the school year. Your child will have a creative time interacting with new friends and working with enthusiastic young professional actors. Each Shake & Stir instructor has extensive professional experience working with children and the performing arts and hold current blue cards.
With 15+ years experience in teaching and performance making, Shake & Stir classes are sure to be the highlight of your child’s week!
Numbers are limited to ensure your child receives individual attention and has the best opportunity to strut their stuff and have their own moment in the spotlight. All students are welcome to our classes no matter what school you attend, jump on in to one of our class locations.
Dates
We start classes in week 5 of Term 1, 2025.
Payments
In order to streamline payments for this Term we are asking that all fees are paid via credit card when enrolling. Afterpay is also available however you will receive a discount if you pay up front.
Shake & Stir will absorb any credit card transaction charges. If for some reason you cannot pay via credit card, please call us at the office on 07 3188 1413 to discuss alternative options.
New Enrolments
Our no-obligation trial lesson has now shifted to a refund policy, parents who are enrolling a student for the first time will have 7 days after the first lesson to request a full refund if their child does not wish to return to the class.

Diving into Drama
For Prep - Grade 6
Time 3:15pm - 4:15pm
About This high-energy program promotes confidence, creativity, and communication. Through improvisation, world-building, scene work and acting challenges, students develop real-world skills like listening, teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking. Open to Preps - Grade 6, we split the groups where possible to offer tailored activities that suit each child's age and abilities. Led by passionate and experienced drama educators, this class focuses on skill-building and self-expression.
Power in Performance
For Grades 2 - 6
Time 3:15pm - 5:15pm
About Offered as an extension, students will stay after their regular drama class for specialised performance training, where they'll refine their voice work, physicality, confidence, focus, and stage presence. Students will work toward a thrilling final performance. This is an exciting opportunity for young performers who are looking to take their passion for drama to the next level.
Includes: A Shake & Stir folder to keep all their creative resources organised, along with the performance opportunity for friends and family.
