FANTASTIC MR FOX
By Roald Dahl
Adapted for the stage by shake & stir theatre co
Following a smash-hit, sold out season in 2019, Dahl’s much-loved Fox leaps off the page (and all around the stage) in this mind-blowing, visually-stunning production.
No one outfoxes a fox, especially not the horrible and greedy farmers Boggis, Bunce, and Bean – one fat, one short, one lean.
When Mr Fox needs to save his family and friends, he’ll go to any length (above or underground) to outwit the mean humans. Join Mr Fox and his team of furry friends as they bounce, burrow and bewilder their way to safety. Packed with Dahlicious mischief, hilarious mayhem, and humongous belly laughs, Fantastic Mr Fox is the perfect holiday tail for the whole clan.
You’ve read the book and seen the movie – now chase your tail all the way to the theatre and experience this critically-acclaimed stage adaptation from the wacky mind of the world’s No. 1 Storyteller first hand. You won’t believe your eyes.

“If you had to give it marks out of 10 – this one’s an 11 … make sure you grab the kids and see it before its QPAC run is over.”
“Another smash hit for shake & stir … had children and adults alike screaming with laughter and cheering loudly.”
“Jaw-droppingly brilliant … theatre-making at the top level. It’s destined for a long stage life.”
A must-see performance… Despite knowing the ending before taking our seats, we were left hanging on to every word, jumping high out of our chairs at every creak and mesmorised by the live musicians and yule-tide carolling. Lavish costumes traversed time, conceiving a neo-Victorian, gothic setting bringing ghosts, ghouls and characters into one world of storytelling. The set design provided a visual feast, complemented by a new atmospheric composition from composer, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Salliana Campbell.”
“shake & stir’s adaptations of classic literature are all superb.”
