Choreographic Toolkit

Teacher Professional Development

This practical professional development session introduces teachers to the Choreography Toolkit, a flexible resource designed to support students to devise imaginative choreography in the studio and translate movement ideas into clear, structured documentation in the classroom. Teachers explore accessible strategies for generating movement, shaping choreographic intent, and supporting students to record and reflect on their creative process through diagrams, notation, and written reflection. The session builds teacher confidence in bridging practical dance-making with theory-based learning, supporting assessment, creative thinking, and curriculum-aligned choreography tasks across a range of year levels and abilities.
